Caravan & Motorhome Roof Waterproofing & Roof Leak Repairs
CaraCare uses a high-quality 100% silicone roof coating to seal, and waterproof the entire roof area (and hatches/vents) of your motorhome, caravan, trailer, or horse truck. We create a single waterproof membrane over your vehicle. This roof sealing is ideal for fixing existing roof issues, such as leaks, pooling, or damaged silicone, and for preventing future leaks and UV (silicone) damage.
Silicone Roof Coating & Sealing Is An Ideal Solution For:

Our product can be applied to nearly all motorhome, caravan and horse truck roof types, including metals, fibreglass, aluminium, plastic, wood, bitumen and EPDM.
Elongation and Colour:
Our silicone roof coating product has an elongation (stretch) factor of over 300+%, making it ideal for (moving) vehicles.
Our silicone product is applied in bright white as standard (to reflect sunlight/UV), but it can also be tinted/coloured light grey on request.
Patching Damaged Areas/Holes:
We apply extra silicone (patches) to damaged areas such as holes, joints, and leaking seams. This heavy-duty silicone patch provides fast, effective waterproofing. After patching any specific damaged areas, we commence the general application process.
The Process (Multiple Coats):
We thoroughly clean, dry, and prep the roof before masking around hatches/vents and sealing the roof. Then, we apply the first coat of silicone and allow it to dry (generally overnight) before applying multiple coats (for extra durability and protection) the following day. We pay particular attention to high-risk leak areas, such as all joints, seams and connections (including rivets and screws).
The Outcome:
When completed, the outcome is one solid waterproof membrane (similar to a large rubber mat) that completely covers the roof area, providing years of weather (water and sun) protection for your vehicle. Not only does it fix existing roof leaks, but it also protects against future roof leaks and damage. Roof cleaning becomes much easier because the silicone has high resistance to dirt and grime.
We apply a single, solid waterproof membrane across the top of the motorhome or caravan to prevent water penetration. This also protects existing silicone from further damage.
Our sealing/coating process will hold water indefinitely and is ideal for addressing pooling on the roof, fixing existing leaks, or future-proofing your vehicle against leaks and water ingress.
FAQ's:
Application Time: The entire process takes approximately 4 days (i.e. we need the vehicle for at least 4-5 days).
I have Solar Panels: We remove the panels from the holding brackets, seal the brackets into the new waterproof membrane, then reattach the panels to the brackets. It's also an ideal time to upgrade your solar system or panels, and we can provide a quote to do this.
What About Roof Hatches & Vents?: We lip up around these, ensuring the single membrane includes these in the new waterproof roof structure.
What Is The Tenure of the Silicone Sealing? Silicone is a 'permanent' roof-sealing and coating solution.
